Timbavati Reserve is situated north of Sabi Sands Private Reserve in the Kruger National Park. Timbavati was established back in 1956 by farmers who created the Timbavati Association. The association now consists of 50 members and spans a landmass of some 530 square kilometers.

Timbavati today forms part of the Associated Private Nature Reserves with the fences partitioning Timbavati from the adjoining game reserves in the association and from the Kruger National Park having been taken down to facilitate the free movement of wildlife between reserves.

Big game wildlife animals such as lion, elephant, cheetah and more are found within this premier African safari reserve.
