Location:
Sausage Tree camp is located on the banks of the Zambezi River, in
the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia. This exclusive
safari camp specializes in affording our guests the very best

Accommodation:
The accommodation consists of six
luxurious Bedouin-style canvas tents. Almost hidden from one
another, the tents are built on their own raised, polished screeded
platforms and constructed from rosewood timber and lined with
Zambezi reeds (matetti).
Spread along the northern bank of the
Zambezi River, each tent has a stunning river view, comfortable beds
with down duvets under mosquito netting, chairs and coffee table,
hanging space, luggage racks and dressing table. |

Sausage Tree Camp has six unique and independently designed tents,
each with private open-air ensuite bathrooms which have become a
distinct trademark for this world-renowned tented safari camp.
From
the loo with a view, to the steaming hot shower, to the honeymoon
tent which offers a bathtub worth marrying for! Silenced generator,
for lighting and charging batteries etc. Armed-escort during the
evenings to ensure safe walking to and from your tent. |

Facilities:
The
camps "French trained" chef, creates cuisine from his bush kitchen
that has given him the reputation as one of Zambias finest chefs.
Three course meals are prepared and enjoyed under the African sky,
with white linen and natural candle-light.
We have an open bar
policy, so our guests are free to indulge as they so choose. Our
accommodation consists of six Bedouin-style white canvas tents, each
with private open-air bathrooms, with running hot and cold water and
flush "loos with views".
Sausage Tree Camp offers the largest range of game-viewing
activities including: game-drives, walking safaris, canoeing,
boating and fishing for the world-renowned "Tigerfish". Fly-fishing,
bait and spinning are the three most successful methods of fishing
we practice. With personalized guiding, our guests decide exactly
what activity they would like to take.
Sausage Tree Camp only insists on
the best guides for the job. All of our guides are fully trained,
licensed and have many years of experience, ensuring that the
highest quality of guiding and safety standards are delivered and
achieved. Every guide is fully trained and qualified in first-aid. |

Activities:
The Lower Zambezi is renowned for
its spectacular canoeing. As one of the few privileged safari
operator inside the National Park, we are able to canoe you down the
most stunning section of the Zambezi, The Chifungulu Channel.
Led by one of our teams highly
qualified canoe guides, you will explore the banks of the river,
where you will more then likely be looking UP at the game. Canoe
trips can be as long or as short as you like. One-hour canoe trips
are a great prelude to an evening night game drive.

It is an effortless drift, as the
flow of the Zambezi works for you. This is a time to relax, listen
to the sound of the huge variety of bird-life and admire their sheer
beauty.
A full day canoe trip, stopping for a picnic lunch on
route, down to Old Mondoro Camp (30km) is an unbeatable safari
