From the open plains of the Masai Mara to the waters of Lake Nakuru and the swamps of Amboseli, this safari takes in three of the most picturesque regions in Kenya. It also provides the perfect opportunity to spot the Big-5 and to capture some diverse scenery.

Day 1              Nairobi

Upon arrival into Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to the Intercontinental Hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the Intercontinental Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2              Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

Leaving Nairobi after breakfast, you'll travel towards Kenya's fertile highlands and head down the Rift Escarpment on a road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. Look for the charming chapel they built at the foot of the escarpment. You'll pass the impressive Longonot earth satellite station as you head across the Valley to Narok, and then travel across acres of wheat and barley, before you reach the Masai Mara in time for lunch. Following lunch there is an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets. Overnight at Keekorok Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 3             Masai Mara National Reserve

Early morning and afternoon game drives. Overnight at Keekorok Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 4              Masai Mara – Great Rift Valley

Leaving the Masai Mara after breakfast with a picnic lunch, you'll travel across the ‘breadbasket’ of Kenya, where acres of wheat and barley litter the landscape as you head north to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. Now travel across the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley, keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle as you head up the Mau Escarpment, before arriving at Lake Nakuru. The waters here are often coloured shimmering flamingo pink, from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. You will take an afternoon game drive in Nakuru National Park before continuing to Rift Valley Lodge for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Great Rift Valley Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 5              Great Rift Valley - Amboseli National Park

Leaving Lake Naivasha behind, you begin a journey across the top of the Rift Valley Escarpment, providing spectacular views of lakes Elementaita and Naivasha and the Great Rift Valley, with the dormant Longonot volcano at centre stage. Travelling on through Kenya's highlands, you lunch in Nairobi and then head south across the Athi Plains to the border town of Namanga. Here you'll turn east to Amboseli National Park at the foot of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, home to a wealth of wildlife but particularly known for its elephants. Continue through the park with an afternoon game drive en route to Oltukai Lodge. Overnight at Oltukia Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 6  Amboseli National Park

Morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli, returning to the lodge as the sun sets. Overnight at Oltukai Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 7              Amboseli – Nairobi

Following an early breakfast, you’ll catch your last views of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro as you depart Amboseli viewing game en route to the border of the park. From here turn west to the colourful border town of Namanga, where you will find some unique Maasai beadwork. Then turn north along a good tarmac road across the beautiful and seemingly never‑ending Athi Plains, arriving in Kenya's bustling capital city of Nairobi by mid day where you will have lunch in Nairobi city centre hotel before transferring to Jomo Kenyatta airport for your flight to Cairo (international flight not included). On arrival in Cairo you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Meridian Heliopolis Hotel on a bed & breakfast basis

Day 8             Cairo

After breakfast, depart on a full day tour of the Egyptian Museum/Pyramids/Sphinx/Citadel Mohamed Ali Mosque and Bazaar) Lunch is included today. Overnight at Meridian Heliopolis Hotel on a half board basis

Day 09                        Cairo – Aswan

After breakfast transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Aswan. On arrival in Aswan you will be transfer to the port for embarkation on your cruise vessel. Overnight on board the cruise liner on a full board basis

Day 10                        Nile Cruise

Sail to Kom Ombo where you stop to visit the Temple with its beautiful murals before continuing to Edfu for the night. Overnight on board the cruise liner on a full board basis

Day 11                        Nile Cruise

Visit the West/East Bank before sailing to Luxor. Overnight on board the cruise liner on a full board basis

Day 12                        Luxor – Cairo

Transfer to Luxor airport fro your flight to Cairo. On arrival at Cairo, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Meridian Heliopolis Hotel on a bed & breakfast basis

Day 13                        Depart

Transfer to the airport for your onward arrangements. End of our services

Child Rates

  • One child aged under 2 years free sharing with 2 adults
  • One child aged 2-11 years sharing with 2 adults pays 50% of safari cost

Cost Includes

  • Meet and greet services with assistance at the airport or border
  • All transport and game drives on road safaris will be in a modern safari cruiser (with seven window seats) with an English speaking driver-guide on shared basis
  • Meals and accommodation as specified
  • All park fees and government taxes
  • ½ litre bottle mineral water per person per day on game drives (excludes air safaris)

Additional remarks

  • We may have to re-route the itinerary or accommodate in similar lodges in case of non-availability.
  • Prices for domestic flights, airport taxes or park fees may be changed without prior notice. This is beyond our control and any increase levied will be passed to you.
  • In order to qualify for the low season rates, the tour must start and finish within the specified dates. If any safari starts in low season and ends in high season, we will pro rata the cost accordingly.

Passenger Information

  • Passengers should bring only soft sided bags on safaris.
  • All the passengers must have Identification Card/Passport with them for internal flights.
  • Baggage on internal flights is strictly limited to 15kgs per person (including hand luggage). Any excess baggage will be charged by the airline at check-in.
